Why Use Cloth Diapers?
There are so many reasons to use cloth diapers!
Cloth diapers are healthier for your baby. They are cloth diapers are, and will always be, made of more natural products than disposables. Disposable diapers contain harmful chemicals such as sodium polyacrylate and dioxins (known to be linked to cancer). Cloth diapers are free of these harsh products, and are better for your baby's sensitive skin. Our cloth diapers also help prevent diaper rash; your child's health is much more important than convenience of disposables.
Cloth diapers are more affordable. The average baby will use about $3000 worth of disposables in a two to three year period, whereas a baby using cloth diapers can start on cloth diapering for as little as $100 for the most basic cloth diaper needs. Cloth diapers are more cost-effective and more durable (lasting through hundreds of washes and multiple children)!
Cloth diapers are more comfortable. Cloth diapers come in many different sizes, including one-size, so you can be sure to find the right fit for your baby. They are very soft and do not leave marks on little baby legs, like disposable diapers often do. Adults don't wear paper/plastic underwear, why do most people expect babies to wear scratchy uncomfortable disposable diapers?
Cloth diapers are more environmentally-friendly. Each cloth diaper used will save tens of disposable diapers being used. One 'stash' of cloth diapers for your baby will prevent approximately 5,000 disposable diapers from being placed in our landfills. Cloth diapers do not leach harmful chemicals into our precious soil and ground water, because they don't contain these tainted toxins. Some components of cloth diapers are also biodegradable - we offer liners made to throw in the trash, toilet, or your compost pile! In addition, we offer some cloth diapers made from recycled materials, and can also be re-recycled when you're done using them!
