I hope to continue the tradition of making quality, reliable, WAHM-made diapers! My name is Heather. I live in Eugene, Oregon, with my husband and daughter. We started this wonderful journey of cloth diapering when our daughter was just a few weeks old. She had a persistant rash that would not go away no matter what we tried. In searching for advice on rashes, I found a diapering forum. To my astonishment, it was all about cloth! When the helpful ladies there insisted cloth could solve our rash problems, I caved in and bought 2 diapers. Soon, we were in love. The rash went away and we bought a whole stash of cloth. When my job ended and I became a stay-at-home mom, I started a cloth diaper retail store. After almost a year, my husband and I decided it was time to move into manufacturing. So I bought Knickernappies and the rest is...well, the future! This is the beginning of a new journey for us and I'm pleased you want to come along. =) Who Sews Knickernappies Diapers? don't actually do much sewing anymore. Thankfully my business has grown a lot and I've been able to find some wonderful people to help me. All cutting and sewing are done in Oregon by people that I personally know and love. All custom diapers are sewn by Caye. Here's what she says about herself: "I come from a family of artists from the South (Arkansas and Kansas). I was an art major in college and got a job at a plant nursery to pay my way through school. Twelve years later I am still working in the horticultural field while doing my art as a hobby and occasional part-time job. My husband is a writer from Connecticut and we met here in Oregon in 2001, fell in love, and were married in 2004. We are expecting our first child in June 2007!" Caye plans to stay home with their daughter and will be a work-at-home mom sewing customs for Knickernappies! I'm proud to support her so she can do what I do...stay home with our babies! All instock diapers and most of the other accessories are sewn by a dear couple named Terry and Julie. They met and married while working together for a production sewing company in Oregon. When that company outsourced to Mexico, Terry and Julie bought some equipment and started their own company. Most days its just the two of them in the shop. Terry mostly cuts and keeps the equipment in tiptop shape while Julie sews. They are a delightful couple that I'm thrilled to work with.
Meet LoopyDo's big brother! Introducing the SuperDo 2G...a prewashed insert for heavy wetters and overnight. The SuperDo packs a powerful absorbancy with 6 layers of hemp terry and 2 layers of ultra-thirsty microfiber. This insert is even more absorbant than a LoopyDo and a plain hemp insert together. Like the LoopyDos (rated #1 on DiaperPin.com for inserts!) the hemp is prewashed. These can be washed immediately with diapers, though another 3-4 washings is still needed for full absorbancy. The microfiber is very plush and it's extra absorbant! (Note: Heavywetters may still need a doubler for overnight. Also, while these are prewashed to remove natural oils, they will still need a few washings to achieve maximum absorbancy.) 
This comparison shows the SuperDo next to two microfiber inserts. The SuperDo is not only far more absorbant, but it's a lot trimmer, too! 2G version is wider than the previous version! These will fit more pocket diapers from side-to-side without gaps!
